In 1912, Lillias Tarrant, 13 (along with sister, Irene Tarrant, 9), arrived at Quebec, Canada, with a group of 132 Barnardo girls en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

On December 3, 1913, at Hazelbrae, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, Lilias Tarrant, 13 years, 11 months, 28 days, died of heart disease, 9 months duration; and heart failure, 2 days duration. Lillieas is buried at Little Lake Cemetery, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, along with 46 other Barnardo children who were a part of Hazlebrae House.
