1901 Census shows a Thomas Telford age 23 as head of house in Hanover Village, Grey South District Ontario. Interesting side bar there is a notation beside his name that says an anonymous person submitted his surnmae should be listed as "Tilford" not Telford. His birthday is shown as December 5 1877
