On August 9, 1914, Nellie Torrance, 19, Domestic, returned to the United Kingdom, on the ship Megantic. Her future intended residence was to be England.

In October, 1918, Nellie B. Torrance married Alfred E. Neal in St John the Baptist Church, Hoxton, Middlesex, England.
