September 6 1900
Age 11, comfortable home, employed at light housework, good health, attends Methodist church and Sunday school, also Public School, character good, terms-Boarded by Dr Barnardo. Mrs Markle was absent when I called, I saw her husband who stated that Florence is getting along well at school, and since coming here has learned to do many things about the house. She was neatly dressed and appeared to be well looked after. She had no complaints and informed me she was well treated.

Age 13, she appears to have a very comfortable home and is very contented. She has attended the Huntsville Public School regularly since my last report. Her general appearance is neat, and I have every reason to believe that she is carefully looked after.
