1901 English Census for James Train (4) and his older sister Nellie (6) in the household of Emma and Sam Murgatroyd of Hunslet, Yorkshire, England. Also in residence were Lily (16) and Leonard (13) Kerton.

Attestation papers were signed 18 Feb 1917 in Smith Falls, Ontario. James Train was born 22 May 1898 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. His Next of Kin was his sister, Nellie Train of Newboyne, Ontario. James was a farmer in Lombardy, Ontario. 5'4" in height with brown eyes and black hair, had had a cut on his left lower instep from an Axe. His Religion was listed as Church of England.
