Notes Cyril Norman Venner was my uncle, my mother's brother. They were both placed in The Union Cottage Home at Manston in Kent, my mother in 1909 and Cyril in approximately 1914. Cyril was admitted to Barnardo's on 3rd June 1924 from the Isle of Thanet Union for migration to Canada. He was subsequently sent on 18th September 1924 aboard the SS Melita arriving in Quebec on 27th September.
He was sent to a farm, I believe in the Toronto area. He kept in touch with my mother for several years up until 1940, but contact was lost during WW11 when Cyril was last heard of in New York.
I have been searching for Cyril over the last twenty years. Although I realise he may no longer be alive, I would love to hear from any of his descendants.
