Another child, Elsie Sargeant, 5, was boarding with the two boys. All three were noted as being from Dr. Barnardos Home.

On March 23, 1916, George Waltham is shown as the next of kin on the Attestation for the enlistment in the Canadian Armed Forces of his brother, Leonard Waltham.
