On August 2, 1891, at Ottawa, Carleton, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Bridget Whelan, 22, born in Ottawa, to Christopher Whelan and Mary Nolan; and Louis Brown, 40, laborer, born in Beauport, Quebec, Canada, to Modeste Brown and Esther Carier.

Louis and Bridget Whelan Brown had at least three children: Mary Maude Gertrud Brown, born November 5, 1893; Oscar Brown, born about 1894; and Eva Brown, born about 1898.

In 1901, Bridget Brown, 30, is shown residing at Ottawa City, Ontario, Canada, along with her husband, Louis Brown, 54, journalier (day laborer); and children: Gertie Brown, 6; Oscar Brown, 5; Eva Brown, 2. Bridget's date of birth was shown as April 26, 1870, and her immigration year from England as 1870.

Louis Brown, laborer, died at the age of 62 on December 30, 1905, at 161 York, Ottawa, Carleton, Ontario, Canada, of heart disease, 24 days duration.

In 1911, Bridget Brown, 48, widow, occupation illegible, was shown residing at 34 Cumberland, Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, along with her son, Oscar Brown, 16, sawyer. Her date of birth is shown as July 1862, and her immigration year from Ireland as 1884.

On July 15, 1914, at Ottawa, Carleton, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Bridget Whelan, 43, widow, residing at 315 Cumberland Street, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, born in Liverpool, England, to Christopher Whelan and Mary Nolan; and Pascal Laliberte, 51, widower, culler, born in Fitzroy Harbor, Ontario, Canada, to John Laliberte and Amy Lambe.

On April 12, 1918, Mrs. B. Liberty, was shown as the next of kin to her son, Oscar Brown, on his Attestation upon enlistment in the Canadian Armed Forces. Her address is listed as 45 Redpath Street, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Pascal Laliberte died at 200 Boteler Street, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 58, on May 12, 1922, of cancer of the liver, duration of a few months. He was buried in Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The informant was his wife, Bridget LaLibery, 200 Boteler Street, Ottawa.

Bridget Whelan Brown Laliberte, widow, died at Civic Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, on March 1, 1925, at the age of 52, of myocardial failure and intestinal obstruction, 2 days duration. She was buried in Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The informant was her son, Oscar Brown, 42 Redpath Street, Ottawa. He believed the name of her father was Joseph Louis Whelan.
