William Sadler Whitnell, my grandfather & orphaned in 1887.His father Thomas Whitnell died Aug 1886 their mother Anna Ella Sadler died May 1887. The children were taken to Barnardoes Margaret to Barkingside & Ontario in 1889, the boys in 1891, separated on arival. Margaret married, had 5 living children and died aged 98. Thomas, single, died age 42 William fought in WW1 visited Hove, his foster home, married the youngest daughter, returned in 1919 with wife My dad
