On the 9th October 1917, Herbert Edgar Wicks, d.o.b 21 Nov 1898 London, enlisted in the Canadian Army. He gave his residence as Napanee, Ont. His next of kin was Mrs Agnes Wicks, Mother, Hillside Road, Thorpe, London.
On 26 April 1918, Private H E Wicks, was killed in action while fighting with Canadian Infantry (New Brunswick Regiment). He is buried in Roclincourt Military Cemetery.
