1907 Shipping records for the Victorian confirm that Sidney Winson traveled from Liverpool, England to Quebec, Canada under the care of Mr. James Hicks from Waifs and Strays.

1911 Canadian Census for Sydney Winson (19 years) in Sherbrooke, Quebec states he is an employee, along with James Drapeau (27 years) in the household of Jeanne and John Sims.

In 1911 Edith Mary Winson is Pro. Nurse, In Home at Saint Michaels Home, Stone Road, Broadstairs, Kent, England.

Attestation papers signed 16 Aug 1915 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Sidney was born 15 Mar 1894 in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, England.
