Parents: William Cornelius Wookey and Eliza Leah Lawson, married 1890, Lambeth, London, England.

William Thomas Wookey; Henry Cornelius Wookey; Mary Jane Wookey; and George Albert Wookey were admitted to the Lambeth Workhouse on March 24, 1898, and discharged to Norwood School on March 29, 1898.

Their mother, Eliza, was in Renfrew Road Workhouse. Their father, William Wookey, had been admitted to Claybury Asylum on September 23, 1895. He was later discharged to the Workhouse on June 22, 1899.

William Wookey was discharged on May 3, 1899, to the "Exmouth" Training Ship. He immigrated to Canada in 1903. He was residing as a laborer in Marquette, Manitoba, in 1911. William died of a heart attack while working on the farm of Fred Case in the Assiniboine Valley, Canada, in November 1950.

Mary Jane Wookey was discharged to the Scott House Training Home in Hitchin on February 22, 1899.

Henry Wookey was discharged on February 1, 1900, to the HMS Impregnable as a Band Boy.

George Wookey was discharged in the care of his father on April 9, 1901; readmitted on April 11, 1901, to the care of his parents. He was admitted to the Norwood School on October 11, 1901 from the workhouse where he had been admitted with his parents the same day. He was discharged to Barnardo's Home on May 28, 1902.

In 1902, George Wookey, 11, arrived at Boston, Massachusetts, USA, in a large group of 395 Barnardo children en route to Toronto and Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

In December 1927, George Wookey, 38, farm hand, returned to visit the United Kingdom on the ship Montcalm. He declared that his proposed address in the UK would be 79 Beaconsfield Road, Tottenham, London, England. He returned to Canada on March 25, 1928, on the ship Arabic. He declared upon return that he was 36; that he had been born in London, England; that he had resided in Canada between 1902-1927; that he resided in Colton, Manitoba, Canada; that he followed the occupation of farming; that his employer was A. E. Andrews of Colton, Manitoba, Canada; that his contact in England was his brother Mr. H. Wookey, who resided at 30 Gardener Street, Gillingham, Kent, England.
