Notes Louis had 6 siblings (2 brothers and 4 sisters) who came the year before on the Franconia in 1924. They were separated and went to live all over Nova Scotia and P. E. I. Louis came the following year on the Andania and came to live in Princeville, Cape Breton with the MacArthur Family (a brother and sister). A brother Horace, travelled by foot from the Annapolis Valley to search out his siblings. Although it took many years for them all to be reunited, eventually all were able to meet again including a sister (Rose) born back in England after the original 6 and Louis had been shipped to Canada. They found out about Rose many, many years later and she and her son and daughter were able to meet Louis, Horace and Beatrice in the 1990's for the first time (60 some years after Horace and Louis were shipped to Canada.) The Wyre family story is told in the preface to the book "The Little Immigrants."
