NotesOn September 20 1892, Herbert Yatton was admitted to Kensington & Chelsea District School, next of kin stated as unknown, he was discharged on October 7 1892 to Banstead.

Sent by Chelsea Union, placed with G H McComb, farmer, Big Springs, Hastings, Ontario. Inspection on 2 April 1897

Age 11, comfortable home, employed at chores about the house and helps to feed cattle, health good, attends church regularly, school daily, character good. Terms-Board, Lodging and Clothing, Gives satisfaction.

On December 26 1913, Herbert Yatten, 32, born London, England, son of Sarah E Yatten and unknown, married Annie Smith, 38, in Hastings County, Ontario

On January 15th 1917, Herbert Yatton born April 2 1885 London, enlisted in the Canadian Army, he gave his next of kin as wife Annie, Marmora, Ontario, and that he lived in the same place. He was a sectionman.

On May 22 1919, Herbert Yatton returned to Canada on a military ship SS Saturnia
