Cunigunda married Fred Smith against the wishes of her parents. As they disowned her for this (there were some undisputed vague rumours about a pork butcher's carving knife being brandished in anger) she and her husband moved to Bradford. More about this in Forum Topic 607068 and Forum Topic 509347: replies #23-26. She renounced all ties to her own family and henceforth only spoke of her Smith family.

the XSchweinmetzger family is totally fictitious - the name comes from a long string of pork sausages long line of pork butchers originating in an area where the original names are very hard to pronounce. The X is silent, but is traditionaly kept to commemorate the ancestral name.
