Died at City Hospital, Edinburgh and interred at Comely Bank Cemetery, Edinburgh. Memorial inscription 'In loving memory of George Bower died 19 January 1921 aged 56. Also his wife Rosie Bower died 15 April 1947 aged 85. Their dear daughter Rosie died 17 February 1973 aged 83. Also George died 10 August 1973 aged 49'
