He declared that his contact was his father, Alfred, who resided at 78 Piggott Street, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England; that his final destination was Revere, Massachusetts; that he carried $200 on his person; that he had previously entered the United States in June, 1912, through the port of Swanton, Vermont and returned in November 1913; that he was going to visit a friend, Joe Routhen, who resided at 47 Crescent Street, Revere, Massachusetts; that he intended to remain permanently. He was described as 5 foot 6-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; light hair; blue eyes. He had been born in London, England.
