He was described as 5 foot 2 inches in height; fair complexion; blue eyes; brown hair.
Private Robert Atkinson, 25, died on June 29, 1917, of wounds received in battle in France. He is buried at Noeux-Les-Mines Communal Cemetery, France, in Plot: II. C. 26.
