In 1909, George H Aldcroft, 13 (along with brother, John A Aldcroft, 10) arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 19 McPherson children accompanied by Miss Pickford and en route to Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

On December 1, 1915, at Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, George Herbert Aldcroft, 20, enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he resided at Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada; that he was born in Altringham, Cheshire, England; that his next of kin was his mother, Mary Jane Aldcroft, who resided at Altringham, Cheshire, England; that his date of birth was August 6, 1896; that he was a farmer; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 3-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; light blue eyes; light brown hair. He was a member of the Methodist faith. [EDITORS NOTE: George was eventually transferred to the 21st Battalion.]

On March 28, 1923, at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between George Herbert Aldcroft, 25, sprinkler fitters helper, born in Altingham, Cheshire, England, to William Aldcroft and Mary Jane Speakman; and Elizabeth Ann French, 21, operator, born in London, Middlesex, England, to William Thomas French and Eliza Caroline Baker.

George Herbert and Elizabeth Ann French Aldcroft had at least 1 child: James F. Aldcroft, born May 22, 1924 (died June 6, 1999).

George Herbert Aldcroft died on March 7, 1982, at the age of 85, at Riverside, California, USA. Elizabeth Ann French Aldcroft died October 1, 2002, at the age of 100, at Agoura Hills, Los Angeles, California, United States.
