NotesGeorge Davies was admitted to Barnardos January 28, 1889. He was sent to Canada August 31, 1894 on the S.S. Laurentian, arriving Quebec, Canada.

His father was Edward Davies living at Bromley by Bow in 1889. George's siblings were: Catherine, Emily, Eliza, and Edward.

His mother was Emily (Griggs) Davies who died at the age of 42 and was buried in Plaistow Cemetery by the parish in November 1888.
