He declared that his last permanent residence was Calgary, Alberta, Canada; that his nearest relative was his mother, Margaret McCarthy, who resided in Calgary, Alberta, Canada; that his final destination was Portland, Oregon; that he had previously visited the United States between 1904-1908 in Washington State; that he was going to join his wife, Margaret McCarthy, who resided at 546 E. Alder Street, Portland, oregon. He was described as 5 foot 11 inches in height; medium complexion; brown hair; blue eyes. He was born in Middlesex, England and emigrated to Canada through Halifax on the ship CPR Canada. [EDITORS NOTE: Margaret Mary had already entered that States bringing along their 1 year old Canadian born daughter Irene, WHO was born in Alberta.]
