NotesOn 9th February 1928, Robert Chipchase, 11, departed for Australia on board SS Benalla, his previous address was given as The Child Emigration Society, Savoy House, Strand, W C 2. He was placed at Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjara, Western Australia.

Robert married on 2 Mar 1940 to Molly Joan PARNELL (reg 477, Perth). His marriage notice states he was “eldest son of the late Mr & Mrs Chipchase of Yorkshire, England”.

He enlisted in WWII: CHIPCHASE ROBERT : Service Number WX1755 : Date of birth 19 Jul 1916 : Place of birth GUISBOROUGH ENG : Place of enlistment SUBIACO WA : Next of Kin CHIPCHASE MOLLY.

He died 26 Jun 2012 aged 95.
