NotesIn 1887, Elizabeth Dickinson, 11 (along with her brother, William Dickinson, 12), arrived at Quebec, Canada, with a group of 96 children accompanied by Mrs Margaret Lacy en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. W. J. Wills, Government Immigration Agent at Ottawa.

Elizabeth Dickenson, aged 12. From parish of Liverpool. Placed with Widow Hudson, Ferguson's Falls, Co. Lanark, Ontario.?A good child, well placed."

On September 29, 1897, at Lanark, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Elizabeth Dickinson, 19, born in England to William Dickinson and Elizabeth Whalen; and Edward George Leake, 25, farmer, born in Eganville, Ontario, Canada, to George J. Leake and Elizabeth Hannah Leake.
