NotesIn 1907, Ellen Jackson, 14, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 29 girls from the Catholic Association [most likely the Catholic Association for Young Women] en route to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

On December 29, 1921, at Saint Anthony of Padua, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, a marriage was registered between Helen Mary Jackson, of age, born to Benjamin Jackson and Elizabeth Ingles; and Ernest William Clark, of age, son of Joseph Clark and Mary Clark.

Ellen was widowed at a very young age, and a child, Frederick Clark(e) was born a few years after the death of her husband. He always tried to find the name of his father, but that was never revealed.

Nellie was remembered by family as a very nervous and shy old lady. Though that never stopped her from singing her rendition of Danny Boy at family gatherings. She seemed quite a pathetic sight to see with her chin quivering and one eye blinking, she had all the family in tears.

Ellen Jackson Clark is buried in Notre Dame des Neige cemetary in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
