NotesIn 1914, Harold Brocklebank, 14, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, along with a group of 61 children en route to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. (Brother, Thomas Gordon Brocklebank (Tom) arrived on the Empress of Britain in 1909 with Mrs. Ellinor Close.)

On January 9, 1923, Harold Brocklebank, 23, teamster, crossed into the United States through the port of Detroit, Michigan. He declared that he resided in Smiley, Saskatchewan, Canada; that his contact in Canada was his friend John Hunter, who also resided in Smiley, Saskatchewan, Canada; that he carried $16 on his person; that his final destination was 269 E. High Street E., Detroit, Michigan; that he intended to reside in the United States permanently and become a US citizen. He was described as 5 foot 6 inches in height; fair complexion; brown eyes; black hair. He had been born in London, England.

In 1930, Harold Broklebank, 30, electric welder in an automobile factory, was shown as a lodger at the home of Cecil and Edith Stanaway, 234 Midland, Detroit, Michigan. He declared he had immigrated in 1923 and was a naturalized citizen.

Harold married Helen, date and surname unknown. After Helen's dearth in the 1940's, He married Bessie, date and surname unknown. There were no children from either marriage, so Harold has no descendants. He died in July 9. 1959, in Ypsilanti State Hospital (mental hospital), Ypsilanti, Michigan.
