In 1905, Daisy Ainsley, 11, arrived at Quebec, in a group of Barnardo children: 87 boys to Toronto and 89 girls to Peterborough, Ontario Canada. [EDITORS NOTE: Age in National Archives database indicates birth year as 1894 but it should almost certainly be 1890.]

On 11 April 1907, Daisy Ainslie. 17, Hospital Maid, entered the United States through the port of Niagara Falls, NY. Her contact in England was shown as her sister, Mrs. Beatrice Coalbran, 25 Moorland Road, Portsmouth, England; she was going to visit a friend, Mrs. Minnie Gentle, who resided at 1008 Main Street, Buffalo, New York. She was described as 5 foot 2 inches in height; fair complexion; brown hair; brown eyes. She had been born in Portsmouth, England and had come to Montreal, Canada on October 7, 1905.

On March 26, 1911, Daisy Ainslie, cook, arrived at Southampton, England on the ship, Adriadic.

On March 8, 1912, Daisy Ann Ainslie, 21, cook, entered the United States through the port of New York on the ship Oceanic. She declared that her last permanent residence was in Portsmouth, England; that her contact in England was her brother, Mr. T. Ainslie, who resided at 2 Resevoir Cottage, Petersfield; that her final destination was Buffalo, New York to visit her friend, Miss Wilson, who resided at 24 Ryler Street, Buffalo, New York. She was described as 5 foot 4-1/2 inches in height; dark complexion; dark hair; hazel eyes.

Daisy A Ainslie married George F(rederick) Strugnell (born 1875 Hampshire, England) in 1935 in Portsmouth, Hampshire England.

George Strugnell died at the age of 77 in 1953 at Petersfield, Hampshire, England. Daisy A. Strugnell died at the age of 72 in 1959 at Barnet, Hertfordshire, England.
