NotesIn 1910, Frederick Negus, 12 (along with brother, Christopher Negus, 10) arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 93 MacPherson children accompanied by Mr. Merry and en route to Stratford, Ontario, Canada.

On December 7, 1915, at Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, Frederick Negus, 19, enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he resided at Owen Sound, Ontario, R. R. No. 7; that he was born in Essex, England; that his next of kin was his guardian, Mr. J. M. Quirk, who resided at Owen Sound, Ontario, R. R. No. 7; that his date of birth was July 25, 1896; that he was a farmer; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 2-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; blue eyes; fair hair. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith. He had scars on knuckles of his second and third fingers of the left hand.

Both Fred and his brother, Christopher, enlisted with the 147th Grey Overseas Battalion. Fred lost an eye in the war, and his brother died soon after coming back from overseas.

On December 10, 1924, at Owen Sound, Grey, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Frederick Negus, 24, motor mechanic, born in London, England, to Frederick Negus and Mildred Arnold; and Eva Gladys Galbraith, 20, housekeeping, born in Derby Township, Ontario, Canada, to Wm Galbraith and Mary A. McCaffrey.

Frederick and Eva Gladys Galbraith Negus had at least 4 children.

Eva Gladys Galbraith Negus died in 1984 in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada.
