In 1911, Arthur Aird, 15, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 50 MacPherson boys in Mr. Wallace's party en route to Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

On December 21, 1913, Arthur Aird, 18, labourer, returned to England on the ship Lake Manitoba. He declared that he had previously resided in Canada and that his country of intended permanent residence would be England.
