Notes Sent by Edmonton Union

September 5 1900
About 11 years of age, good home, employed at housework, very healthy, attends Union Sunday school, character good, terms-this girl is being boarded here by Dr Barnardo. She has been with this family for a year. It is a very picturesque and comfortable home. Mrs Hollinshead states that Elizabeth Harper is a very bright girl and learns easily. She has improved very much during the time she has been here. She appears to be happy and contented and is well treated. Her school teacher states that she is making good progress at school.

Age 11, Elizabeth Harper has had an excellent home during the past three years, I fear however, that she has been troublesome to train, being described "as a careless and thoughtless child" She has attended the Public School and has had fair reports, but does not appear to have got along agreeably with her teacher. Mrs Holinshed thinks that it is more the fault of the teacher than the child. She is a healthy, growing girl and has improved greatly during the past year
