A birth registration was found for Theodora Margaret Adkins: Year of Registration: 1897; Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun; District: Pancras (1837-1901); County: London, Middlesex; Volume: 1b; Page: 10. Parents: Richard and Helena Adkins.

On 14 November 1899, Theodora Margaret Adkins was baptised at St Mark, Regents Park, parents were named as Richard and Lena Adkins, their address was 30 Chalcot Crescent, and her father was a hospital porter.

Her siblings Proctor Selby and Ann Phoebe were also baptised on the same date.

In 1901, Theadora Adkins, 4, and Ann Adkins, 4, were boarding with John and Mary Packman in Tunbridge Wells, Kent

(In 1901, Richard now 14 was residing in the Gordon Boys Home, Chobham, Surrey, while Proctor aged 6 was visiting a Robert and Maude Norman in St Pancras, London, their eldest sister Winifred was a patient in St Peter's Memorial Home, Woking, Surrey

In 1908, Theodora Margaret Adkins, 11 (along with her sister, Ann Adkins, 9) arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of Barnardo children: 118 boys to Toronto and 101 girls to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

On July 17 1909, Winifred Adkins, 24, trained nurse, arrived in Canada 'to join mother'
