NotesA birth registration was found for Proctor Selby Adkins: Year of Registration: 1894; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; District: Pancras (1837-1901); County: London, Middlesex; Volume: 1b; Page: 20. Parents: Richard and Helena Adkins.

On 14 November 1899, Proctor Selby Adkins was baptised at St Mark, Regents Park, parents were named as Richard and Lena Adkins, their address was 30 Chalcot Crescent, and his father was a hospital porter.

His siblings Theodora Margaret and Ann Phoebe were also baptised on the same date.

In 1910, Proctor S. Adkins, 16, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 77 children en route to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

On November 9, 1915, at Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Proctor Selby Adkins, 21, enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he resided at 101 Esplanade Ave; that he was born in London, England; that his date of birth was July 26, 1894; that his next of kin was his mother, Mrs. Helen Adkins, who resided at 204 Wood Avenue, Westmount; that his occupation was Clerk; that he was not married; and that he had previously served with the 1st Regiment, GGC, for one year. He was described as 5 foot 3 inches in height; dark complexion; blue eyes; dark brown hair. He was a member of the Church of England.
