(His brother, Frank Beattie, 15, arrived on the Antonia in 1929.)

William was placed with Mr. Alex Wilson, March, Dunrebin, Carleton, Ontario, Canada.

On December 10, 1948, William Beattie, 18, labourer (along with his brother, Frank Beattie, 22, labourer) returned to the United Kingdom on the ship Montrose. Their proposed address was 11 Ionic Street, Rock Ferry, England and they both intended to remain permanently in England.
