NotesJack never spoke about being a home child. He did, however, tell his story about coming to Canada with his 2 sisters, (who in fact came separately) after his father died of scarlet fever. He said his mother sent him to Canada, where he met an uncle, who found the farm with whom he stayed.

He married (the child of another BHC), had 4 children and worked for CP Rail for 46 years. He was a lineman, a brakeman and a conductor. He was a wonderful grandfather!
