In 1928, Alfred Bridgeport, 14 (along with brother Sidney Bridgeport, 11), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of Barnardo children en route to Mr. J. W. Hobday, 539 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The passenger list declares his birth place as Acton; his next of kin as his father, Mr A Wm Bridgefort, 59 Osborne Road, Acton; and his intended occupation as farming.

On June 3, 1941, at Cambridge, Queens, New Brunswick, Canada, Alfred William Bridgeport married Vivian Pearle Titus. The couple had at least 2 children.

Alfred William Bridgeport died in May, 1974, in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. Vivian Pearle Titus Bridgeport died in 1986.
