In 1928, Sidney Bridgeport, 11 (along with brother Alfred Bridgeport, 14), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of Barnardo children en route to Mr. J. W. Hobday, 539 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The passenger list declares his birth place as Acton; his next of kin as his father, Mr A Wm Bridgefort, 59 Osborne Road, Acton; and his intended occupation as farming.
