Age 16, Latterly Callaghan does not appear to have been settled here. He went to Montreal for 6 months or so returning to St Michael De Napierville in May, and remained with Mr Isbelle until September when he again took his departure, stating he was going back to England and would work his passage over. He could not have had much money. He was in Mr Isbelles employ for two years and Mrs Isbelle states they found him a reliable youth
