NotesA birth record was found for Millicent Long: Year of Registration: 1902; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; District: Uxbridge; County: Middlesex; Volume: 3a; Page: 54. It is thought that Millicent was born after the death of her father, Jescard Albert Giacomo Castelnovo, who, it was thought, died of consumption. Jescard Castelnovo married Sarah Ann Eliza Long in Dec 1893.

Sarah remarried c. 1907 to a Robert James Mandeno. It is believed that Sarah was forced by her second husband to give away her children from her first marriage. It does not appear that she ever had any contact with them again.

In 1911, Millicent (Long) Castlelove, 9, arrived in Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 59 Catholic children en route to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Her brother, George Castlenova, 10, preceded her on the Lake Manitoba in September, 1911, with a group of 63 Roman Catholic children.
