with William Charles Armstrong, farmer, P.O Elm, Carleton, Ontario
Age 15, very satisfactory home, employed at very light chores, healthy boy, attends Church of England, and school during winter months, character good, terms-$100 at expiration of 4 years and clothing. This boy has a very satisfactory home, and I should judge, every comfort and is contented. Mrs Armstrong appears to be much interested in him. Chadwick is, he states, well treated. He is a bright lad and of good address. Any little faults are overlooked on account of his age. He is making good progress here.

November 12 1902
Age 16, good home and situation, employed at general work, healthy, attends Methodist Church and Sunday School, well behaved,
Chadwick has been here hardly a year yet, but he is said to be doing well. Mr Chrysler has, I judge, every confidence in him, and appears to treat the boy more as an equal than as a hired help. I think Chadwick was fortunate in getting here.
