Notes Elizabeth and her sisters, Annie and Mary, were admitted to Barnardo's Home in Liverpool, England in 1904, following the death of their mother. Their father was unable to continue to care for them. There was another sister, but it is believed that she was admitted to a hospital in Liverpool. There were also 3 or 4 brothers, but they were older and able to remain in England as they were newspaper boys.
Elizabeth and Annie sailed together on "Friesland", with Peterborough, ON being their destination but were separated from their younger sister, Mary. It is unknown if they ever were reunited.
Elizabeth eventually married a James Walker.
