NotesAnnie and her sisters Elizabeth and Mary were admitted to Barnardo's in 1904 following their mother's death and their father's inability to care for them. There was another sister but it is believed that she was in a hospital in England. There were also 3 or 4 brothers but they were older and able to stay in England as they were working as paper boys.

Annie and her sister Elizabeth came to Canada upon the "Friesland" with Peterborough, ON being their destination. Annie made her way to Alton, ON where she met and married Joseph K. Carson. Elizabeth was a witness to their marriage. It is unknown if she was ever re-united with Mary.

Annie (Chorley) Carson died December 13, 1934 in Orangeville, On.
