NotesWe know very little about my great grandfather's journey. He rarely spoke of it. He was born in Leeds England and came over about age 11 on the Bavarian. His placement was in Saskatchewan and was very unhappy. He was not well treated. He later became a telegraph operator and moved to Ontario. He married and had 4 children. We believe he had a sister in England. He also listed an aunt as contact information in England on his WWI enlistment papers. The family here in Canada know nothing of any family that may remain in England.
