with George Farmer, farmer, P.O Ramsays Corners, Carleton, Ontario
November 29 1900
Age 10, a very good home, employed at light ordinary chores, very healthy, attends Presbyterian church, and school in winter, character good. Terms-Board and Clothing and 4 months schooling and $140 at end of six years. Mr Farmer is a very comfortable farmer, with good surroundings, school near by, and this lad has a very good home. He is spoken of as a "smart" lad. He gives his employer as fair a degree of satisfaction as could reasonably be expected from a lad of his age. He is contented, properly clothed, and ought to make good progress.
