NotesIn 1887, Howard Greenway, 13, arrived in Canada in a group of 38 Middlemore children accompanied by Mr. John T. Middlemore and en route to the Guthrie Home, London, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. John Smith, Government Immigration Agent, at Hamilton.

Howard Greenway, aged 10. From Wolverhampton Union. Placed with Peter Auger, Spring Arbor P.O., Tp. Walsingham, Norfolk, Ontario.?Honest, truthful, intelligent, and obedient, troubled with urinal discharges. Removed to Wm. Malloy, B.A., Tp. Bosanquet, Forest P.O. Goes to church, with private tuition. A good home, treated the same as the family."
