He was described as 5 foot 8-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; hazel eyes; dark brown hair. He was a member of the Church of England. He had distinguishing marks of a mole on his right haunch; a scar on his right shin; and a scar on his right eyebrow.
On February 10, 1923, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Edward Albert Headon, 28, labourer, born in Bristol, England, son of Thos Samuel W Headon and Caroline Raikes; and Ethel Whybrow, 22, factory worker, born in Hammersmith, England, daughter of Richard Thomas Whybrow and Ellen Ellvinia Cooper.
