July 10 1900
Age 12, very satisfactory home, employed at light farm work, excellent health, attends Church of England, attended school 3 months last winter, character very satisfactory, terms - Wages $10 for 1st, $20 2nd, $30 3rd and $40 for 4th years respectively. William Heard has a very comfortable home, and says that he appreciates it. He takes an interest in his work, and is said to be a very willing lad. Mr and Mrs Eaton appear to be very fond of him, and I feel satisfied that he will receive good training here. Mr Eaton is a very prosperous farmer.

William Heard has grown considerably since my last report. He is well suited for farm work and has an excellent situation- a healthy youth of good habits and disposition: contented and should do well. Mr Eaton likes him very much and says that 'he is doing very well'
