In 1892, A. Kelsey, 11, arrived in Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 22 children from 72 Iffley Road, London, England, accompanied by Mr. Pady. (Sisters Edith Kelsey, 7, arrived in 1892, and Florence Kelsey, 7, in 1894, on the Mongolian, respectively; and brother, Albert Kelsey arrived in 1893.)
Alfred was placed with Mr. Bathurst, Grenfell, Northwest Territories, Canada.
In Ploughshares and Prairie Trails, Dilke and District, a book about Dilke, Saskatchewan, Canada the following was found:
"Edith Kelsey was born in Margate, England. She came to Canada as an orphan at the age of seven years. ... Her brothers Albert and Charles, and a sister homesteaded in the Kedleston district on the Jack Johnson farm: G.C. Daintree's were near-by neighbours.
Charles Alfred Kelsey died July 5, 1969, at the age of 87 in Victoria, Alberta, Canada. (Reg. No. 1969-09-009362.)
