In 1881, James Keough, 2 years of age, was shown residing at 88 Gerard Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Other family members included: Martin Keough, 32, peddler; Mary Ann Keough, 26, peddler; Mary Keough, 4; Hannah Keough, 6; Margaret Keough, 2 months. In 1885, James Kehoe, 6 (along with sisters, Ann Kehoe, 11; and Mary Kehoe, 8), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 136 children from the Catholic Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Richard Yates.

Hannah Keogh was found as an elementary student at the salle D'Asile Saint-Vincent De Paul: Couvent Du Coteau Saint-Louis Banlieue, Montreal. James and Mary Ann Keogh may have also been a students at this school.

In 1901, James Keogh, 22, was shown as a domestic / farm labour to George A. and Annie J. Rattery of Wolfe Island, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada. His date of birth is shown as August 25, 1879, and his immigration year as 1884.

On September 13, 1911, at Wolfe Island, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between James Keogh, 32, farmer, born to Martin and Mary Keogh; and (Ruth) Annie Woodman, 25, born to William Woodman and Elizabeth Michea.

James and Ruth Annie Woodman Keogh had at least one child: Zelma Keogh, born 1911 and died 1926.

James Keogh died October 18, 1954. His wife, Ruth Annie Woodman Keogh died in 1959. They are buried at St. Lawrence United Church Cemetery, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada.
