In 1881, Mary Keough, 4 years of age, was shown residing at 88 Gerard Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Other family members included: Martin Keough, 32, peddler; James Keough, 2; Mary Ann Keough, 26, peddler; Hannah Keough, 6; Margaret Keough, 2 months. (Source: 1881 Census of England; Class: RG11; Piece: 3630; Folio: 86; Page: 30; Line: ; GSU roll: 1341869.)

In 1885, Mary Kehoe, 8 (along with brother, James Kehoe, 6; and sister, Ann Kehoe, 11), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 136 children from the Catholic Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Richard Yates.

Hannah Keogh was found as an elementary student at the salle D'Asile Saint-Vincent De Paul: Couvent Du Coteau Saint-Louis Banlieue, Montreal. James and Mary Ann Keogh may have also been a students at this school.

Researchers have determined that Mary Keogh became a grey nun.
