Notes Frederick Charles Kingsman born 24th January 1908 sailed from Liverpool on the ?S. S. Montrose? on June 30th 1922 which arrived in Quebec, Canada on July 4th 1922. He was 14 years old from the Macpherson Home in London and accompanied on the journey by Mrs. Merry from the Hackney Union, London. He was assigned to Mr. Cecil Sine, a Farmer whose address was Harold, Rawdon 9-6 Hastings, Canada.
Frederick's parents, William Kingsman & Elizabeth nee Hall had died in 1917 and 1916 respectively. His two brothers, John and Henry were also British Home Children. His eldest brother, William, was 15 when their father died and did not go into a Macpherson home. He stayed in England and had a family there. His young sister, Hariett, was taken in by their mother's sister and also remained in England and had a family.
