NotesIn 1884, James Langfood, 12 (along with brother, Robert Langfood, 10), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 65 children from the Catholic Protective Society.

James Longford, aged 12, from parish of Liverpool, placed with Mr. Roach, St. Catharine's, Ontario. Should be Robert; character honest, untruthful, bad tempered, disobedient, and stubborn, ran away two years ago to Pat Nihan's, St. Catharines, and then ran away to Conlan's, Jordan."

James Langford and Alma Langman had at least 5 children: Phyllis Irene Langford, born August 11, 1903, born in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, died 1980; James Dalton Langford, born February 22, 1910, in Perth, Ontario, Canada; Ethelyn Hortence Langford, born May 24, 1905, in Wellington, Ontario, Canada; James Dalton Langford, born February 10, 1910, in Perth, Ontario, Canada, died 1982; Harold Alfred Langford, born October 19, 1911, Dufferin, Ontario, Canada; and Norman Elwood Langford, born June 10, 1914, in Dufferin, Ontario, Canada, died 1977.

James Alfred Langford died in 1956. Alma Lavinia Langman Langford died June 29, 1964. They are buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville, Dufferin, Ontario, Canada.
